Chicago philosophy student and producer Mister Lies will release his debut LP, Mowgli, recorded in a Vermont cabin, on February 26th via Lefse. He’s already let loose a few impressive album tracks—the squelchy “Align” and skittering “Dionysian,” both embedded below—but nothing so fully realized as “Hounded,” a downtempo burner that, despite featuring vocals from the Brooklyn husband-wife duo Exitmusic, hits the hardest when the singing shushes, two minutes in.
